Mothers Day Again

This is part of a sponsored campaign with P&G and Orgullosa However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Being a mom is the hardest and most rewarding job I will ever have. I never thought that I could love two little human beings so much. The day I became a mother was both the best day  and the scariest day of my life. I all of sudden had this huge responsibility and I kind of had to just learn as I went.  Although to be honest people are not kidding when they say,  a lot of it comes natural and you kind of just know what to do (sometimes) . Constantly thinking if your doing the right thing, being torn between what your doctor says and what your mom, grandma, aunts and uncles say and just wondering if you have made the right choices can be overwhelming but I've learned that those are all part of motherhood and I have come to terms that I will continue to worry for the rest of their lives for one thing or the other  and there is no changing that. My kids are my Orgullo (pride and joy).  They keep me busy, and sometimes they can drive me crazy, but then they do or say something that just melts my heart and a bad day suddenly turns into the most wonderful day ever.
So it is great to have a day where you are reminded that you are doing a good job and that all that you have done is appreciated, it is even nicer when you get to celebrate it twice in one month. In the Dominican Republic we celebrate mothers day on the last Sunday of the month and being a Dominican American my family always celebrated both cultures so we celebrate mothers  day twice. I love embracing both cultures and I love passing that down to my kids the same way my mom passed it down to me. We don't do anything Crazy we just get together with family and celebrate all the moms and it is an excuse to dress up and look pretty.
Being a mom of two I hardly get enough time to get dolled up, but thanks to Covergirl I only need three products to get me ready and looking Easy Breezy and fabulous in no time. My current favorites and must haves are the Colorlicious Lipstick, the Stay Brilliant nail polish and the Lash Blast volume mascara. If you follow me on Instagram you might have already seen the look I created using these amazing products.  The Colorlicious lipsticks come in 36 different shades grouped in four different color families of nudes, pinks, reds and plum. How fabulous is that? you can have a different lipstick color on, one for each day of the month and then some. The Stay Brilliant nail polish comes in 38 different brilliant shades for you to get creative with any design you want and it combines a base coat, high-gloss color and a chip resistant top coat, perfect for the Mami who like me is constantly washing bottles, giving baths and washing hands. Being able to feel good an look good are very important and I think all moms should be able to have a moment to take care of themselves even if that is for one day. I want to wish all Moms a wonderful mothers day, because to me Mothers day should be everyday! and a very special Mothers day to my strong and beautiful Dominican mothers.
Below I will leave you with a very special video that my Daughter and I were a part of. Get your tissues ready because this one is a tear jerker.

Caress forever collection body wash
Besides putting together the right outfit, one of my favorite ways to leave a long lasting impression and feel fabulous wherever I go, is by adding fragrance. Out of all our senses, scent is the most closely related to memory. We all know of a scent (hopefully a nice smelling one) that reminds us of someone and every time you come across that scent, that person comes to mind or it takes you back to a moment you spent with that person. That is exactly why I am constantly searching for skin care products with an amazing long lasting scent.  If you are like me, and you love smelling good and receiving compliments on your scent, you will love the new Caress® Forever Collection body wash products "Love forever™" and "Adore Forever™".

The Caress® Forever Collection body wash promises a long lasting irresistible fragrance released on touch for up to 12 hours. This definitely caught my attention and I couldn't wait to test it out. I tried the "Love Forever™" first.  It is made up of a bouquet of rich floriental sweetness blended with lush dark berries and freshly picked scarlet Red Rose. Pretty much a whole lot of sensual and luxurious scents combined to make you feel and smell super sexy.  I spent an entire day touching my arms and being pleasantly surprised every single time, because it really does work. The next day, although I was tempted to continue using "Love Forever™" I went on to try  "Adore Forever™" --this one has touches of melting honey, vanilla and amber, infused with elegant petals of “Angel Face” Rose. This combination of scents screams flirty and sweet and I am obsessed with this one. It smells so good and best of all, it really made an impression on the hubby. I used the "Adore Forever™" body wash 0before going to bed and it instantly caught his at
]\tention, and he loved it. Needless to say "Adore Forever™" became my favorite of the two.

Caress® has long been one of my favorite body wash brands; I knew they were not going to disappoint with The Caress® Forever Collection body wash products and I was right. They definitely left a long lasting "scentual" and "unforgettable" impression on me.
Let me know what are some of your favorite ways to make an impression in the comments below.

Cape Blazer: Nasty Gal (Here)
Top: F21
Jeans: Gap
Shoes: F21
Sunnies: Gap Factory

I have been meaning to post about this fabulous cape blazer from Nasty Gal for months. I purchased it a while ago and have worn it a few times, including to the CoverFx event last week and if you follow me on Instagram you might have seen this look on there.  I get so many compliments on this cape blazer, it is so unique and it definitely adds some fun to an otherwise very simple outfit. One other thing I've been meaning to talk a little more about is my hair color. I dyed it black last week because as expected the dark brown was not winning the battle against the Ombre blond I did last year. The blonde kept creeping through and it was driving me nuts, black is not my ideal hair color, I prefer my natural dark brown hair but this is the only color that I knew for sure would cover the blonde. I used L'Oreal Excellence Creme in Blue black as it simple and easy to use. It is taking some time to get use to this color but for now I am happy to see the little bits of blonde officially gone.

I'm on YouTube

I'm on YouTube guys!! I am beyond nervous and excited about adding this to my blog and to be honest it took me forever to just hit upload and make this video public. I also recorded this haul twice, the first time I rambled way too much LOL . The reason why I finally took the plunge and joined the YouTube community is because I've been super MIA from the blog due to a variation of things, for one the weather this past winter was horrible and taking pictures outside was nearly impossible. Two my hubby is my "photographer" and he's been super busy at work and of course having the kids spread germs to one another over and over, was also a major set back. Starting this channel is going to allow me to bring more variety to you guys my fabulous readers.  I have so many video ideas, that include DIY projects, product reviews, more mom related content and of course more fashion & beauty than ever.   If you guys have any ideas for a video you would like to see please let me know. While you are visiting my channel don't forget to give my video a thumbs up and subscribe so that you can stay up to date.

Top: H&M || Jeans: Charlotte Russe || Shoes: DSW (HERE

Trying to defy this long winter by wearing some open toe shoes this past weekend. I must admit I was in and out of my car that day so I was nice and warm for the most part but I am tired of wearing boots. I got these shooties a couple of months ago, they were on sale at the DSW store so I couldn't go wrong besides I had high hopes for an early spring. The web site describes these as sandals but I think they are more like a shoe mixed with a bootie (shoetie). Perfect for spring and super comfortable, I love the taupe color and the pop of color on the insole.

P.S. the wind was unreal so I'm pretty much holding my hair down in all my pics lol
P.S.S. I dyed my hair black. What do you think?

P.S.S. Me teñí el pelo negro. Que les parce?
